Dr Yu Yang

Dr. Yu Yang is currently a Research Assistant Professor with the Department of Computing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, China. Dr Yang’s research interests include graph representation learning, spatiotemporal data analysis, urban computing, and learning analytics.

Dr Yang visited the CIRES Centre in December 2024. During his three week visit, he participated in the 2024 Australasian Database Conference as co-author of two papers:

  • Tri-modality Collaborative Learning for Person Re-identification
  • Graph Neural Patching for Cold-Start Recommendations

We look forward to welcoming Dr Yang for a longer return visit to the CIRES Centre in 2025.
