Nick Kakuschke is a visiting researcher in CIRES from October to November 2025 hosted by CIRES Chief Investigator, Associate Professor Ida Asadi Someh. During his visit, he collaborated on the project “Creating Value from Data – A Framework for Strategic Data Value Creation”.
Nick Kakuschke is a researcher in Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the University of St.Gallen, Switzerland. His research follows the design science paradigm and examines the organizational creation of business value from data and AI from a strategic and managerial perspective. His work is strongly practice-oriented and conducted in collaboration with an industry consortium of leading financial institutions in German-speaking countries in Europe. Nick’s research has been published in renowned venues in the information systems and management fields, including the European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS), the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS), and the Academy of Management Annual Meeting (AoM). Alongside his academic work, he has been working as a strategy consultant for financial services institutions at the Business Engineering Institute St. Gallen in Switzerland for more than three years.
