CIRES-WWW25 Visiting Scheme

CIRES welcomes high calibre students, early career researchers and academics who are attending 2025 ACM Web Conference to visit the CIRES Centre at The University of Queensland (UQ) in Brisbane after the WWW-25 conference.

PhD Students and Early Career Researchers

CIRES welcomes high calibre students and researchers who are attending the 2025 ACM Web Conference to visit the CIRES Centre at The University of Queensland (UQ) in Brisbane from 6-9 May 2025. This would be an opportunity to present your research in a public seminar and to engage with CIRES students and researchers on areas of mutual interest.

CIRES is pleased to offer up to six travel grants* to cover return flights Sydney-Brisbane and accommodation in Brisbane for up to 4 nights between Monday 5 May to Friday 9 May. The main research expertise of successful applicants should generally fit in the area of data science and in particular should align with the research specialisations of CIRES centre investigators at UQ  as well as with the interests of Centre industry and government partners. Please submit your EOI for the travel grant by 1 March 2025

*Sydney-Brisbane airfares and Brisbane accommodation bookings would be arranged directly by the CIRES Centre.

Visiting Academics

CIRES welcomes academics who are attending 2025 ACM Web Conference to visit the CIRES Centre at The University of Queensland (UQ) in Brisbane after the WWW-25 conference. This would be an opportunity to present your research in a public seminar and to engage with CIRES students and researchers on areas of mutual interest. The intention of the visit is to contribute to and share research knowledge through collaborative research interactions.
