From Evidence to Influence: The Data Storytelling Masterclass
~Information Resilience Training Program~
Join us for this 90 minute introductory Masterclass to explore turning data into meaningful insights that drive decision-making.
A more detailed two-day workshop will be offered in February 2026, providing the opportunity to explore these methods in greater depth with extended hands-on practice and case studies.
This masterclass introduces practical approaches for drawing valid conclusions from raw data and shaping findings into stories that inform, persuade, and inspire action.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Identify and avoid common pitfalls in data analysis.
- Apply exploratory and inferential techniques to uncover patterns and insights.
- Build effective data stories that resonate and influence.
The session is led by Associate Professor Hassan Khosravi from The University of Queensland.
This training program will benefit three types of professionals:
- those working directly with data including storage, curation, infrastructure, analytics, model development, machine learning, visualization, and reporting.
- those who manage data workers, analysts, and data scientists, or oversee data-driven functions at an executive level.
- those working in other functions of the organisation and wishing to gain knowledge of Information Resilience more generally.
