Rayid Ghani is a Distinguished Career Professor in Machine Learning at Carnegie Mellon University. He works with governments and NGOs to help them tackle problems with AI and data science, developing methods and tools to do this effectively and ethically, to achieve equitable outcomes for all. He is passionate about teaching practical data science and started the Data Science for Social Good Fellowship that trains computer scientists, statisticians, and social scientists from around the world to work on data science problems with social impact.
