Dr Rocky Chen

Rocky Tong Chen is currently a Lecturer in Business Analytics with Data Science Group, School of ITEE, The University of Queensland. Before that, he received his PhD degree in Computer Science from The University of Queensland in 2020. His research work has been published on top venues like SIGIR, SIGKDD, ICDE, WWW, ICDM, IJCAI, AAAI, CIKM, TOIS, TKDE, etc., where his research interests include data mining, machine learning, recommender systems, and predictive analytics. Rocky joined CIRES as an Affiliate Investigator in 2021, and was the Chair of the Centre’s inaugural Information Resilience PhD School held in September 2022. He became a Chief Investigator with CIRES in 2023.
