Professor Felix Naumann

Professor Felix Naumann is the Chair for Information Systems at the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) at the University of Potsdam in Germany. His research interests include data profiling, data cleansing, and data integration with over 200 scientific publications.

Prof Naumann visited the CIRES Centre from 11-14 September 2022 to mentor young emerging researchers, as well as present a technical tutorial on Data Profiling – Extracting Metadata from Tables as part of the inaugural 2022 CIRES PhD School program.

Felix plans to visit CIRES again for eight months fro August 2024 to March 2025 to undertake research on Data Quality Assessment. This extended sabbatical will provide opportunity to cultivate in-person research collaboration with CIRES staff, students and industry partners, in the fields of data quality and data preparation.
