CIRES Centre Director, Professor Shazia Sadiq contributed to creating the UQ Guide on Responsible Use of Generative AI in Research, available to all staff at The University of Queensland. The Guide outlines risks and opportunities across the research lifecycle—idea generation, literature review, hypothesis development, coding, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and visualisation. It includes discipline-specific examples, guidance for grant applications (ARC/NHMRC), disclosure requirements, and an appendix on data handling, copyright, and privacy implications.
